This morning was very windy with low cloud and rain - quite a challenging drive across to our meeting place on the edge of the range, where strangely, it was quite sheltered and not so misty. As the first real Tuesday walk of the year, it was great to see other like-minded friends, although our leader and his wife turned up in case any misguided people did, and as a result they walked without their lunch. We had enough to share with them.
It seems that there is one guaranteed dry place for walking when the rain comes to Toowoomba, and that is Cooby Dam - our water supply for the city. And yes, we had a lovely morning out there walking with no wind or rain. Back at Highfields it was misty and miserable.
