The Year of the Rat

We were both born in the year of the Rat. For some reason I decided to celebrate Chinese New Year this year and then I found that it is my year. I am a Rat and an Earth one at that. As such I hope to finish a few of the things I have started and things are going well!

The Patterson family history document became corrupted around ten years ago - and I made some attempts to rebuild it, but it has lain idle for many years and now I am at last making progress. As well as stripping it back to plain text, I have new information to add and images to re-scan.

This week has been wet and overcast and I am settled in my Rat nest with my papers. I hope to complete this book during February, then move on to revised editions of the other branches of the tree. The Steels are already up to date following our trip to England last year.

I had a curry lunch at Oxygen with my Tai Chi group today for Chinese New Year. Hearty bean soup seems to be a recommended rat food so I must proceed to the kitchen.
