In March we drove down to Canberra for Lee's birthday. After the rain, the countryside was looking very nice and we enjoyed the trip with morning tea at Inglewood, Texas, lunch in a nice park at Yetman, double scoop incecreams at Bingara then we camped overnight at Gunnedah with a swim in the pool.
Next day we stopped for morning tea at Gulgong. The park had a start to autumn colours. It is an interesting old gold town with old buildings and narrow streets. The little kids were out on an excursion with their teachers all dressed in period costumes. At Wellington the trees were starting to colour, and we had lunch at the cricket oval at Molong where a local reporter took our photo for an article about nice places in their town. At Cowra we had an icecream in the rose garden then we got to Canberra by 4.30.
