Last week we walked at Mt Neale, south of Preston. The Cobbler's pegs and other weeds have grown up a lot since we were there around August last year, and the weather was fresh but the rain held off for us. We saw a pair of wedge-tailed eagles while we sat on a ridge for smoko.
This week we walked at Cressbrook Dam. I had not done the 5km circuit there and really enjoyed it, with some very large kangaroos, a sea eagle and wedgies. The water is very low, almost back to being a creek but the campground looked most attractive - midweek and empty although a long long way above the water.
