The lights and tinsel have been put away, Lee has gone, and the festive season is over. It has been a few good weeks with lunch and dinner guests on four occasions and a steady stream of good dishes, rather than any massive eating events.
We have also had two cricket tests, yesterday being a test in the true sense and hopefully there is more to come. And there's more with the tennis this month.
The only thing missing is rain - there are floods to the east and south of us but we are struggling to get a mm in the gauge, despite overcast and sometimes misty conditions.
