Redwood Park

 It has been a while since we were training for Nepal on Sunday mornings in Redwood Park. I went down with Ann and Keith on our first Tuesday of the year and found it quite overgrown. Barry was leading a short walk from the picnic area up the creek to the bridges and ridges so we decided to go along. It was nice to find many of our bushwalking friends there, rather than new walkers as these were intended for, but we know that it is a good time to walk creeks which were previously overgrown. We had smoko near the bridge crossing, now washed out, then climbed up the trail, along the bridle path, down the next trail with a smoko at the bottom, then back into another bit of creek to the picnic area. Dick and I stayed for a cup of coffee while the others went off to find a cafe. It may be less sociable but the venue is preferable and the quality of coffee more predictable.
