Concerts at St Luke's

We are very lucky in Toowoomba to have access to excellent music. Recently St Luke's has had several concerts. On Friday 11th September we went to an international organ recital where Frantisek Vanicek from Czechoslovakia showed us the range of our Norman and Beard Organ. Then we went to two of the concerts put on during the Carnival of Flowers, the first being Phillip Gearing playing Mendelsohn and Bach on the organ, then 3 days later, we enjoyed a lunchtime of German Lieder with bass-baritone Arthur Johnson accompanied on piano by Phillip Gearing. The church was full of floral arrangements and people wandering through which gave it an added atmosphere.
