Beans and corn
The bean screen is now yielding well with three varieties climbing two metres. Scarlet runners have red and white flowers and rough green pods, purple kings have purple flowers and dark pods, and Ann's beans have smooth paler green pods. The first crop of corn is now tasselling. With very little stored soil moisture we move from stress to relief and back again within a week of any rain, however the larger trees and shrubs are all showing good new growth and it is nice to see things moving ahead after months of decline this year.

I go from stress to relief and back again regularly too- though I don't think its connected to rain...
